The special LIGHT panel is the result of the collaboration between SAIB and BASF. The material that composes the inner layer of the panel is obtained by adding to the wood a polyurethane material that reduces its specific weight, maintaining all the technical mechanical and qualitative properties of the traditional panel.
LIGHT is also suitable for melaminization process.
LIGHT panel has been designed to meet the needs of the furniture industry to have lighter, easily transportable furniture reducing assembly problems.

Panel consisting of wood particles of different grain size pressed with resins with reduced formaldehyde content.
The panel is tested in our laboratories according to the JIS A 1460 norm with Desiccator methodology, using a glass dryer kept at constant temperature and humidity, monitoring and analyzing the values of emitted formaldehyde.

Panel consisting of wood particles of different grain size pressed with resins with reduced formaldehyde content. It complies with the US EPA TSCA Title VI American standard and the CARB P2 Californian standard.
The particle board is tested in our laboratories according to the perforator methodology EN ISO 12460-5, comparated to the standard performed with the ASTM D 6007 method by the certification laboratory (CATAS).
